I’m thrilled to introduce something truly special: my latest limited-edition Bohemian LOVE Collection—a Valentine’s-inspired set of PIGMENT BARS and handcrafted artisanal watercolors filled with romantic hues, multicolored confetti textures, and artisanal charm.

Each year, I create 2-3 exclusive limited edition collections outside of my regular subscription boxes. For 2025, I wanted to push boundaries and experiment with something new—blending artistry and innovation with my custom-built AI tool, Ideation PLAYground, to help bring this collection to life.

This collection is the result of a unique collaboration with AI, which played a pivotal role in sparking ideas, refining color palettes, and generating layered textures and bohemian motifs. Let me take you behind the scenes of how it all came together:

How AI Shaped the Bohemian LOVE Collection

The process of creating a collection always begins with brainstorming a theme and gathering inspiration. Typically, I build inspiration/mood boards in Procreate or Canva to explore ideas.

But this time, I decided to do something a little different—I collaborated with my AI assistant to generate inspiration boards and color palettes.

1. Brainstorming the Theme:​
The journey began with exploring ideas around love, bohemian artistry, wanderlust, and vibrant palettes. Using Ideation PLAYground, I uploaded photos of my art and handcrafted products and crafted detailed prompts to guide the AI. From this creative exchange, the concept of Bohemian LOVE emerged—a romantic fusion of color, texture, and passion.

2. Creating Digital Mood Boards:​
Using AI tools, I developed inspiration boards filled with rich textures, romantic florals, and layered bohemian motifs. These visuals helped refine the collection’s aesthetic and color direction, ensuring it captured the free-spirited essence I envisioned.

3. Finalizing Colors and Names:​
With a clear visual direction, I selected and named the final colors. AI suggested names and helped refine the palette. The result? A collection of multicolor pigment bars and a watercolor mini swatch tile that evoke romance, creativity, and free-spirited expression.

AI as a Creative Spark: Enhancing the Artistic Process

While I don’t use generative AI as a replacement of final painted artwork, it’s a powerful tool for brainstorming, inspiring mark-making, designing, color palette exploration, and product development. It speeds up the ideation process and introduces new perspectives to my artistic journey.

It’s all about experimenting, playing, and letting technology help spark new ideas.
