If you read my last email, you know the story behind the Beachcomber collection began with an inspiration discovery walk after a winter storm.

Today, I’m pulling back the curtain even more and sharing how I collaborated with my AI co-creator to shape that inspiration into pigments, palettes, and prompts.

When I wandered the shores of East Honolulu after the winter storms, I was drawn in by the textures and remnants—ghost crab burrows, bleached coral, tangled seaweed, and shifting wrack lines. I took photos, notes, and let my imagination drift.

Then I turned to my AI studio assistant—Ideation PLAYground—to help shape this inspiration into an actual paint collection.

Together, we explored marine ecology, pigment-making ideas, and natural rhythms of the tide. I uploaded photos and used the tool to:

Analyze textures & forms (like burrows, ripples, foam trails)
Create color names and recipes using mineral pigments & beach debris
Write story-driven prompts for art journaling & mark-making
Build mood boards and sketchbook prompts for my creative workflow

The result is Beachcomber: Tidal Echoes—a handcrafted palette infused with story, memory, and the quiet power of nature’s rhythm.
