Welcome to AI Exploration Week 🎨

A new way to see your Artistic Style...

Reader...

Hi creative friend!

Here’s a little snapshot from my archives: back in March 2023, I was sharing in IG stories tips on how AI could help brainstorm creative projects. That was over 2.5 years ago—and it shows I’ve been experimenting with AI since the early days of chatGPT and Canva Magic Write {before Canva AI}.

What started as a handful of prompts in my Inspiration Sketchbook series has now grown into the full Artist Style Guidebook framework you’ll get a taste of during AI Exploration Week.

Since early 2023, I’ve been experimenting with AI in my studio—not as a replacement, but as a collaborator. Here are a few ways I’ve used it:

  • Brainstormed paint collections and refined product descriptions
  • Remixed sketchbook motifs into new directions
  • Created mock-ups and flat lay graphics for marketing
  • Conducted in-depth market research and mapped business iand product deas
  • Analyzed photos to generate color palettes and uncover landscape details
  • Tested paint-mixing recipes and pigment combinations
  • Created new products like the SWATCH STUDIO
  • Analyzed video transcripts to create IG reels, captions, PDF content
  • Edited and updated content for my signature course digitalCANVAS, all bout mixed media + surface design using Procreate
  • Trained AI with my art to generate collage papers in my artistic style
  • Built custom GPTs + AI assistants to save time and money for both creative process and to help run the back end of my creative business
  • and so much more...

Each experiment gave me new insights while keeping my hand, voice, and artistic style at the center.

AI saved me time and given me new perspectives, while still keeping my hand, voice, and Artistic Style at the center.

I know many artists are curious about AI, but also feel overwhelmed, intimidated, or unsure where to start. That’s why I’m inviting you into something simple and playful: AI Exploration Week.

Every day over the next week, you’ll receive a short email with a 5–10 minute creative exercise. These aren’t heavy tutorials—they’re bite-sized experiments you can do with your sketchbook, paints, or photos.

By the end of the week, you’ll have the ideas + materials we’ll use in AI Exploration Day (a free live studio session happening next week). In that session, you’ll see how to turn your marks, palettes, and motifs into a Artist Inspriation Card—the first piece of your Artist Style Guidebook.

What is the Artist Style Guidebook?

It’s a living sketchbook-meets-portfolio: a place to capture your Artistic Style, color language, motifs, and stories. It also becomes the foundation for working with AI tools—so they don’t just give you generic answers, they reflect you.

💡 How I’ve used AI in my own practice

When I developed the concept and story for my #tracibautistaCOLOR WOVEN HERstories handcrafted artisanal paint collection, I combined hand-painted swatches, sketchbook motifs, and stories from my grandmother’s textiles. I asked AI to:

  • brainstorm pigment recipes + names based on my input and direction
  • refine product descriptions
  • help design the moodboard and storyboard the collection narrative

It gave me a fresh angle on work that was deeply personal—helping me bring it forward without replacing my vision.

✨ Two Prompts Today — Your Choice

Inside this email, you’ll find:

  • A quick-win 5-minute prompt to help you choose 3 words that describe your Artistic Style.
  • Plus, a BONUS deep-dive AI prompt at the bottom is designed to stretch those words further—into stories, metaphors, and new perspectives on your work.

Do the quick one if that’s all you have time for… but if you’re ready to push deeper, scroll to the end and try the bonus version.

👉 Here’s what to expect this week:

Copy and paste this into ChatGPT (or your favorite AI tool) to expand on your 3 words:

You are my Artistic Identity Guide. I’ve chosen these 3 words to describe my Artistic Style: [insert 3 words].
Please:
Suggest 10 synonyms or variations for each word that broaden my language.
Write a short narrative paragraph (5–6 sentences) that blends my 3 words into a description of my Artistic Style—tone should be creative, supportive, and professional (not generic).
Generate a list of 5 phrases or taglines I could use to describe my Artistic Style in an artist statement, on a website, or in a workshop description.
Suggest 2–3 visual references or metaphors that align with my 3 words (e.g., “woven threads,” “layered topographies”).
Keep the results artist-friendly, imaginative, and unique—not generic art school definitions.🌟
