I’d love your input…

Reader

It’s been a while since I’ve asked you what you’re working on, what you’re curious about, and what you’d love to see from me next.

And this feels like the perfect time to do it.

In November, I celebrate 25 years of my creative business since leaving Silicon Valley to build a career and business as an artist.

It’s been one long, winding creative road.

Before making that leap, I spent more than eight years working in tech as a graphic designer, eventually moving into senior-level director of marketing strategy roles.

Since then, I’ve traveled throughout the U.S. and internationally teaching art, mixed media, and creative business, taught online since 2008, licensed my art, designed products that have shipped all over the world, and written three bestselling mixed media books.

Some of you have been part of my creative world for many years. Others may have just discovered my work recently and had no idea there was this much history behind it. 🤗

Now I’m dreaming up what comes next.

I’m starting with Materials Lab, a new course I’m building now around materials, experimentation, and understanding more deeply how the things we make with actually work.

Beyond that, I have sketchbooks and notes filled with ideas for new content, videos, online programs, new product ideas for artist materials, creative experiments, and things I want to develop for 2027.

But before I get too far into designing everything, I’d really love your input.

What are you making right now?

What are you curious about?

What would you love to learn or experiment with next?

Where are you getting stuck?

And what would you most love to see me create or teach in the coming year?

I’ve put together a short Creative Studio Survey to help me understand where you are in your creative practice and what would be most useful to you as I develop my 2027 programs, products, and content.

A little thank-you: add your email at the end of the survey, and you’re entered to win one of three $20 e-gift cards to my shop. The survey closes October 27, and I’ll draw the winners on November 1.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to share your thoughts with me. I really do read your responses, and they’ll become part of what I’m thinking about as I start sketching out the next year.

Here’s to the next chapter. 💗

P.S. Even if you’ve never taken one of my classes or purchased one of my products, I’d still love to hear from you. Your perspective is part of what I’m interested in learning.

With creativity and color...

#tracibautistaCOLOR STUDIO NOTES: OCTOBER 2026 Hello creative friend!! There are watercolor and ink swatches drying on one studio table, textured handmade fiber papers spread across another, and a hot pink weaving still sitting on the loom. That pretty much sums up what my studio has looked like lately. I've been bouncing between handcrafted color, paper, fiber, and all kinds of mixed-media experiments. Designing the VINTAGE ALOHA collection. Making something. Testing it. Changing one thing....

VINTAGE ALOHA collection inspiration board

Hello creative friend!! I’ve been spending a lot of time at my paint-making studio the past couple of weeks, mixing and pouring the handcrafted watercolors and for the paint subscriptions and Collector’s Boxes. There’s something so meditative about making handcrafted paint. It’s a slow, intentional process of mixing pigments, swatching out the colors, checking the consistency, and making little adjustments until I get the color just right. And while I’m working, I have my VINTAGE ALOHA...
