Hi creative friend! I’ve been thinking about beginnings lately — flipping through art journals from twenty years ago, tracing back to where it all started.

Years ago, before the PIGMENT BARS, before the wax paints you know now, I was melting crayons in cupcake tins back in 2001 when I was a traveling k-12 art teacher. Glittery little experiments that became layers of paint and collage in my handmade journals, each one a small act of color alchemy.

I didn’t know those messy early explorations would become the foundation of the handcrafted artisanal paints I make today — the wax resist techniques, the sculptural duotone confetti PIGMENT BARS, the NEW WAX mediums & paint pots launching in 2026 and the color PLAY experiments that guide my studio practice.

But they did. And this week, I’m coming full circle.
